Chirk Court aims to provide the highest standard of care, meeting individual needs in a homely, friendly environment. This can range from short term respite care, longer term, residential placement inclusive, where appropriate, to additionally meet palliative care pathways at the end of a persons life and enable a person to choose to remain within their home
Chirk Court’s Residential care is for older people who find it increasingly difficult to manage at home without additional help and support. The care team will seek to encourage you to remain as independent as possible offering support in the areas that you require help with whilst supporting you to maintain skills and independence where able.
With over 23 years’ experience of providing high quality care and support, Chirk Court has extended its services to meet the needs of residents living with dementia, which includes a new purpose built extension which was completed in Spring 2016.
The purpose-built dementia unit offers state-of-the-art facilities, with four ‘households’, designed to a high standard, each housing 14 residents with a range of care needs. The design is based on the University of Stirling’s Principles and Standards of excellent dementia care delivery.
Chirk Court can provide short and long term Respite care, varying from a few days to several months. Respite care provides older people or their families with a break when living at home, this type of care often enables older people to remain at home for longer. Long term and short term respite care is subject to availability and can be discussed by contacting the Care Manager at the home.
